The Defence Innovation Research Institute is a key player in Hungary’s defence technology and innovation landscape. Our mission is to connect today’s operational challenges with tomorrow’s solutions, supporting the technological advancement of the Hungarian Defence Forces and strengthening the international integration of the domestic defence industry.
Our work is built on three pillars: supporting science-based defence decision-making, developing future-defining technologies—such as autonomous systems, artificial intelligence and extended reality—and building a thriving defence innovation ecosystem in collaboration with national and international partners.
