Community Research
We support our research, development and innovation activities by drawing on the professional insights gained from our “Future of Warfare” themed workshops, held at universities and military units of the Hungarian Defence Forces. Selected studies are published in publicly accessible documents.
AI Application
Through targeted research, we explore the potential of artificial intelligence to enhance the efficiency of analytical processes and other operational workflows. Our background analyses identify the technological challenges and environmental factors likely to shape warfare in the near future.
CONFERENCES
We regularly host high-level defence innovation conferences that not only showcase the latest trends but also offer opportunities for collaboration.
TREND ANALYSIS
Our background research focuses on relevant topics that reflect current and emerging directions in the future of warfare.
SURVEY-BASED RESEARCH
At our events, we conduct questionnaire-based data collection to gather insights and perspectives from ecosystem stakeholders on the topic of the Future of Warfare.
TESTING ENVIRONMENTS
In our development efforts for the Hungarian Defence Forces, we create test environments and validation frameworks for the advancement of unmanned systems, artificial intelligence (AI) and other defence technologies, with a strong emphasis on involving key stakeholders within the ecosystem.
ACADEMIC COLLABORATION
Our research, development, and innovation partnerships with domestic and international academic institutions contribute to the success of our own projects and support the growth of the defence innovation ecosystem.
ECOSYSTEM DEVELOPMENT
We are strengthening the national defence innovation ecosystem by mapping domestic innovative solutions and competencies and by fostering collaboration and networking among key stakeholders.
INNOVATION SYNERGIES
We create opportunities for synergy between universities, research institutes, chambers of commerce, SMEs and large enterprises involved in defence innovation.
EDF Funding Information
We provide guidance on funding opportunities related to the European Defence Fund (EDF), as well as on NATO and EU defence development programmes and collaboration opportunities.
CONSULTATION AND ADVISORY SERVICES
We offer in-person and online consultations on the administrative procedures, regulations and application requirements of the European Defence Fund (EDF), providing practical support for the preparation of documents and presentations.
CUSTOMER SUPPORT
Our in-person and online customer support services assist with the preparation and submission of EDF applications.
EDF EVENTS
We regularly organise EDF-themed ecosystem-building events to strengthen defence innovation.
CONSORTIUM OPPORTUNITIES
We provide information to domestic businesses, universities and research institutions about international consortium opportunities.
TRAINING AND WORKSHOPS
We deliver training sessions and workshops to encourage participation in EDF calls and to enhance the competitiveness of domestic defence innovation.
INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMMES
We provide information on NATO and EU defence development programs, along with related collaboration and funding opportunities.
Connecting with the International Defence Innovation Ecosystem
VIKI plays an active role in defence innovation not only at the national but also at the international level. We place strong emphasis on forming new partnerships that bring valuable knowledge and experience to Hungary.
In collaboration with our European and NATO partners, we engage in programmes such as DIANA, the NATO Innovation Fund and the European Defence Fund. These initiatives offer not only financial support but also significant opportunities for growth and development for Hungarian participants.
VIKI acts as both a facilitator and initiator, helping integrate Hungarian innovation into the international defence innovation network.
