What might warfare look like twenty years from now? What security challenges will we face in 2045?

On June 25, we had the privilege of co-hosting a forward-looking workshop in collaboration with the Hungarian Defence Industry Association (MVSZ). The event brought together experts, researchers, and defence professionals to examine how emerging technologies could shape the future of national security. 

We are excited to share that our recent workshop on Reinforcement Learning in Robotics, organized in collaboration with the Eötvös Loránd University Faculty of Informatics ELTE IK, was a resounding success! On April 12th, VIKI’s short pilot project called Design4Defence, organised in cooperation with Brain Bar for student ambassadors has concluded. Over the six-week programme, participants worked on solutions to challanges defined by VIKI.

The second EDF Workshop, organised by VIKI and the Ministry of Defence took place on April 4, 2024. The event was announced for small and medium-sized enterprises as well as research institutes, and aimed to familiarise participants with the European Defence Fund (EDF) 2024 calls for proposals to ensure successful Hungarian participation.

On March 1st, VIKI’s D4D – Design4Defence mini-pilot training took place at Brain Bar Budapest. The participants were Brain Bar’s ambassadors, students aged 16-23 who came from all over the country to gain an insight into the daily life and operations of VIKI.
