DIANA expands with one accelerator and six test centres in Hungary

We at Defence Innovation and Research Institute of Hungary are proud to announce that together with Nokia Bell Labs we are launching NATO DIANA’s Hungarian accelerator site, the VIKI-NOKIA Accelerator. Our activity will support innovators as they develop deep technologies to assist NATO and help protect its one billion citizens.

Today’s announcement of the network’s expansion is an exciting next step in developing world-leading technologies across the Alliance.

The DIANA network is now doubling in size to more than 200 affiliated sites, boosting both capacity to help and technical expertise across a wide range of disciplines. With this enlargement, the Hungarian network will open its first accelerator site and 6 additional test centres, increasing the system from 2 to 8 which is a massive accomplishment and honor to us.

We are looking forward to working together with the incredible researchers and innovators of BHE Bonn Hungary Electronics Ltd., Óbuda University, University of Pécs, Alverad Technology Focus Ltd., ITSecArea led five-member consortium, Nokia Bell Labs alongside the „old” ones in ZalaZONE InnoTech .

DIANA is NATO’s innovation accelerator – a shared endeavour bringing together innovators from across the Alliance to help NATO maintain its technological edge, defend its one billion citizens, and preserve peace and security.

We would like to express our gratitude for this opportunity as we work towards a safer future in unity.
