Together for a forward thinking future – VIKI Hackathon 2024

On November 27, VIKI hosted its first Hackathon, bringing together talented minds from academia, industry, and startups to tackle some of the most pressing challenges in military technology. With a mission to foster collaboration and innovation, VIKI designed this event to explore how XR technologies can deliver practical and impactful solutions in defence applications.

Participants were challenged to address real-world scenarios, including developing XR solutions for shooting simulations, vehicle maintenance, and medical interventions under high-pressure conditions. Guided by expert mentors and equipped with cutting-edge tools, teams transformed their ideas into innovative prototypes, showcasing both technical ingenuity and practical usability.

This event underscored VIKI’s commitment to building bridges across sectors and fostering a platform for knowledge sharing and creative problem-solving. It highlighted the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration in addressing complex challenges and demonstrated how technology can be harnessed to meet operational needs effectively.

The ideas and solutions developed during the Hackathon represent a significant step forward in defence innovation. We look forward to seeing how these efforts evolve and contribute to a more innovative, efficient, and forward-thinking future for military technology and beyond.
