On June 8, 2026, VIKI was pleased to welcome representatives of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Budapest to its headquarters.
We were honoured to host Erwin Bieri, Defence Attaché; Olav Masseling, Senior Business Development Coordinator at RVO; Dr. Marina Varga, Senior Advisor; and Éva Szabó, Trade and Development Advisor.
The delegation was welcomed by Dr. Gergely Németh, CEO of VIKI, who presented the Institute’s role within Hungary’s defence innovation ecosystem. During the visit, our guests were given an overview of VIKI’s mission, institutional responsibilities, and key areas of activity.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss the Institute’s work in research, technology development, and defence innovation, as well as the areas where VIKI contributes to Hungary’s capability development objectives.
The discussion offered a valuable occasion for professional exchange, knowledge sharing, and exploring opportunities for international cooperation.
