As aerial threats become cheaper, more numerous and harder to predict, the response needs to be faster, more flexible and more cost-effective. Traditional systems were not designed for every emerging threat to be met with a high-cost solution.
NATO DIANA’s Scalable and Adaptable Countermeasures for Air Defence challenge is looking for dual-use technologies that can strengthen air defence through smarter detection, resilient coordination and scalable countermeasures.
This could include sensing and tracking technologies, counter-drone solutions, command and control tools, electronic warfare, directed energy, low-cost interceptors or other approaches that help protect airspace and critical infrastructure.
