Strengthening Defence R&D: EDF Workshop Highlights Information Superiority

For the fourth time this year, VIKI and the Ministry of Defence organised the #EDF Professional Workshop on Information Superiority and Digitalisation.

The event took place on 3 June at Nokia Solutions and Networks Ltd. with the aim of presenting the latest developments and innovations on information superiority and digitalisation in the defence sector, in order to support projects, research and development in the field of defence technology.The opening speeches were delivered by László Deme, Deputy State Secretary for Force Development and Defence Innovation at the Ministry of Defence, and appointed CEO of VIKI, and Csaba Vulkán, Location Head Budapest at NOKIA.

During the programme, Krisztián Busa, Head of the Defence Innovation and Capability Development Department of the Ministry of Defence, János Dászkál from MFOI and Kristóf Réti from EuroAtlantic provided information on the EDF’s preparation for the call for proposals and funding opportunities. On behalf of NOKIA, Péter Kerekes and Zoltán Vincze gave a presentation on the results and experiences of the 5G-COMPAD ’21 and FACT ’22 tenders.

The event significantly contributed to the dissemination of information related to the EDF and provided extensive networking opportunities. Participants were able to ask questions during the consultation and received expert answers to better plan their active participation in EDF calls.
