On April 17th, the SMART 2024 conference titled „Worlds Colliding” was held at the Akvárium Klub in Budapest. The event was organised by IVSZ – IT Association of Hungary and aimed to provide a platform for all things related to the world of artificial intelligence: corporate digitalisation, cybersecurity, sustainability, and digital enterprises. The goal of the event was to equip participants with the necessary tools to safely navigate the digital space and prepare them for the challanges it presents.
The opening speech was delivered by Dr. Balázs Vinnai, president of the alliance, while Péter Balogh, head of VIKI’s Resilience Center and cybersecurity expert, represented VIKI and spoke about defense innovation, rapid adaptation, and the opportunities within disruptive technologies.
In his presentation, he emphasized that artificial intelligence increasingly shapes our lives, and technological developments pose challenges to the defense sector that require quick and effective responses. He also highlighted the importance of rapid adaptation and openness to disruptive technologies, as leveraging them is essential for the future success of the industry.
