Highlighting Drones and Sensors!

The Defence Innovation Research Institute held its second professional day on July 1-2, this time at the Hajmáskér Training Base, focusing on drones, aerial vehicles, and integrable sensors. The event aimed to provide a platform for domestic companies, universities, and research institutes to showcase their equipment, and for military personnel to ask questions about the development status, directions, and potential applications of these technologies.

The event was opened by László Deme, Deputy State Secretary for Military Development and Innovation, designated CEO of VIKI. In his speech, he highlighted:

“Today is a special day because we are focusing specifically on drones. Their role in the 21st century is of utmost importance, as the military has numerous operational activities where autonomous devices can significantly enhance efficiency.”

Throughout the two-day program, our partners Rotors & Cams Ltd., ABZ Drone, Hungaro-Copter, Pro Patria Electronics, Széchenyi István University – György Lévay, 4iG Nyrt., ITSec Area Ltd., Genevation Aircraft Ltd., HM Electronics, Logistics and Asset Management Private Limited Company, MEDIRLAB, Crydet Ltd., IMG Solutions Zrt., Airformance Ltd., Dat-Golf Ltd., HM ArzenalKft., Metalcom Zrt., MouldTech Systems Kft., Óbuda University, University of Public Service, BHE Bonn Hungary Electronics Ltd.,and Gamma Zrt., had the opportunity to present their capabilities through static and dynamic demonstrations, as well as presentations.

A nation’s resilience hinges on its ability to create its own equipment. In the future, drones are expected to be widely utilized, making the use of domestically developed devices critically important. By leveraging Hungarian expertise and technology, we can ensure that these capabilities are rapidly accessible under any circumstances and can be flexibly adapted to meet specific needs.

We thank our partners and participants for contributing to the success of the event!
