That’s a wrap for the 15th INFOTÉR and the III. Space and Defence Conference!

On October 15th, we participated in the III. Space and Defence segment on INFOTÉR’s 0th day. VIKI’s CEO, Dr. Gergely Németh, stressed the importance of understanding the rapidly changing warfare landscape. His speech showcased innovations such as XR technology, electric mobility, and the NONIUS project, all of which contribute to the modernization of the Hungarian Defence Forces. He also highlighted the critical role of building strong partnerships with NATO, NATO DIANA, the European Defence Fund, and Hungarian SMEs. Moreover, he emphasized that community building is a key element in reinforcing the defence ecosystem and driving sustainable growth. Our XR Researcher, Gergely Kovács, demonstrated the SimpleSmartTech (SST) concept, showcasing how user-friendly smart devices can enhance both physical and cognitive performance in defence units. After that, he also explored SST’s impact on robotics, focusing on cost-effective, scalable solutions, such as robot dogs, compared to traditional high-value robotics. A special thanks to everyone who participated in the roundtable discussions, especially József Hajdú from CAE Engineering Kft., Dr. Péter Maroti from the University of Pécs, Péter Balogh from Óbuda University, Daniel Harsányi from XReal Games, and György Lévay from IBT. Their insights into XR, MR, VR, and robotics were invaluable as we collectively explored the exciting future of defence innovation. We also thank our colleagues, Istvan Soós, Csaba Szarka, Gergely Kovács and Benedek Forrai for leading these discussions. We’re proud to lead the future of defence innovation. Connecting with such brilliant minds and collaborating with key partners strengthens our mission to shape the next generation of defence solutions. Together, we’re not just embracing innovation—we’re defining it.
