On 2 June 2025, NATO’s Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic (DIANA) officially launched its latest innovation programmes. The call is open to startups, scale-ups, and SMEs developing dual-use technologies — solutions with both civilian and defense applications.
The goal of these programmes is to support innovative technologies that contribute to both societal advancement and enhanced NATO defense capabilities. DIANA’s Challenge Calls actively encourage participation from civil-sector companies, not just those already involved in defense.
Applications must be submitted in English via the online portal no later than Friday, 11 July 2025 at 12:00 UTC (14:00 CEST).
The 2026 Challenges focus on 10 thematic areas, including advanced communication technologies, autonomous and uncrewed systems (UxS), and critical infrastructure and logistics, among others.
Successful applicants may receive up to €100,000 in contract funding to further develop their solutions. In addition, they gain access to over 180 NATO-accredited test centers across Europe and North America, participate in the DIANA Accelerator Programme, and benefit from mentorship and international business development opportunities.
