On 30-31 May, 2023, the “Technological Resilience Capability Demonstration” thematic event took place in Budapest, organised by the Defence Innovation Research Institute, a background institution of the Ministry of Defence.
At the event, ten domestic and international companies exhibited their developments and solutions supporting the thematic area. Over the two days, more than 100 people, including state and military leaders, university representatives, company delegates, and experts, attended the exhibition, further emphasizing the importance and timeliness of technological resilience.
During the two-day programme, Defence Minister Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky signed the authorization document for the establishment of the NATO Innovation Fund, officially making Hungary a co-founder of NIF (NATO Innovation Fund). The Fund’s primary goal is to make market-based, direct investments in companies developing dual-use technologies, facilitating the transformation of commercial technologies into the defence sector.
In his speech, Brigadier General Imre Porkoláb, CEO of the Defence Innovation Research Institute, informed the attendees about the rationale behind the establishment of VIKI Zrt., its tasks, and its intended role based on partnership cooperation in defence development.
We hope to meet you soon in person at the upcoming VIKI events.
