Recently, the 5th Ideathon took place, impressively showcasing the power of innovation and collaboration in the field of defence. Organized by a dedicated team, this event brought together talented young individuals eager to transform their ideas into real solutions. The Defence Innovation Research Institute (VIKI) was a major partner in supporting the event, fostering creativity and entrepreneurship among the participants.
During the weekend event, 11 teams comprising over 50 enthusiastic participants worked tirelessly to turn their ideas into viable business or defence opportunities. Under the guidance of more than 10 industry expert mentors, the teams developed their concepts, leveraging the expertise shared by the mentors. Additionally, military personnel actively participated on-site, allowing the teams to receive valuable feedback.
The Ideathon reached its climax when the teams presented their innovative solutions to a distinguished jury, which included experts in the field of defence innovation. The winning team addressed a challenge posed by VIKI, utilizing drones and innovative technologies. We believe that this solution can bring significant changes to the defence sector.
We hope that Ideathon will inspire more similar events and promote the growth of the community supported by the Defence Innovation Research Institute.
