How can agile research support more effective responses to complex defence and strategic challenges?
This question was at the heart of the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom’s Research Sprint Symposium, attended by Gábor Mészáros, VIKI’s Director of Defence Research.
Held annually since 2019, the Symposium provides students of the Advanced Command and Staff Course with an opportunity to present the outcomes of their 10-week research sprints. Focusing on real-world defence and strategic challenges, the projects combine rigorous #analysis with practical, forward-looking recommendations.
The programme also featured a keynote address by Andy Baynes entitled “The Six Principles of Disruptive Innovation”, offering valuable perspectives on innovation and transformation within complex organisations.
The Symposium provided valuable insight into the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom’s agile research methodology, as well as the strategic and operational issues currently informing British defence thinking.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to Richard Milburn Phd., Defence Attaché to Croatia and Hungary, for the kind invitation and the opportunity to attend this insightful event.
