Where Ideas Met Action: VIKI XR HCI Hackathon 2025

On 27 March, we welcomed university students, young professionals, and startups to our ScienceLab in Budaörs for a full day of hands-on innovation, creative problem-solving, and collaborative energy.

Participants were challenged to reimagine how XR and human-computer interaction (HCI) technologies can be used in defence contexts — developing AI-enabled, network-independent training solutions designed to meet real-world military needs. From initial concepts to working prototypes, the ideas presented showed just how far vision and technical skill can go in shaping the future.

These kinds of events are where future capabilities begin — not just through technology, but through connection. Bringing together talent from different domains helps spark ideas that go further, faster.

We are proud to have provided a space where these ideas could take shape, and we look forward to continuing to empower the next generation of defence innovators.
